Aikey Dog

As a third baseman Aikey Dog was always a constant psychological backstop for his neighbor short stop “Swiss Cheese Dick” and led the joint “Please Spare Me” prayer (as originally developed by Strangy Dog). As a chatterer and one who could insult batters (and after the game, Fellow Dogs), Aikey was incomparable, once talking an opposing batter to give up and lay down his bat in lieu of facing the Mighty Fonty Dogs.
